Shidoin Eric White

I started my training at the Brattleboro School of Budo in 2000. I train in both Karate-do and Aiki Jujutsu, but my primary training is Aiki Jujutsu.

In September of 2002, I traveled to Denver, Colorado, with Kyoshi Donahue to train with Shihan Dennis Palumbo (Hakkoryu Jujutsu) during their annual Gasshuku. During that time I was awarded the rank of Gokyu. On many other occasions I have traveled with Kyoshi Donahue to seminars in Columbus, Ohio, to train with Soke Michael Pabst (Aiki Budo, Tomiki Aikido), and also to Lafayette, Indiana to train with Soke Thomas Burdine (Kokonryu Renmai, Aikido).

Along with my training with the aformentioned teachers, I have also attended seminars taught by Sensei Sali Azem (Shorin-ryu Karate, Aikijujutsu), Master Teruo Chinen (Goju-ryu Karate), Hanshi Richard Bernard (Shidokan, Goju-ryu), and Sensei Jeremy Hrbek (Judo).

In October of 2003, I was given the Budojo title of Waka Sempai. In June of 2005, I achieved the rank of Shodan in Aiki Jujutsu and received the Budojo title of Sempai. In February of 2008, Kyoshi Donahue granted me the title of Shidoin.

In my professional life, I am the manager of Tri-Park Cooperative Housing Corporation, a board member of Westgate Housing Inc., and I am a certified instructor of Home Firearm Safety and Pistol Safety courses.

Along with Kyoshi Donahue, I am also co-owner of Tri-State Firearms LLC, with a store in Vermont and one coming soon in New Hampshire. Tri-State Firearms supplies police and civilians with the highest quality self-defense goods and related equipment, as well as NRA Certified safety courses.
