Dai-Sempai Rocky Ravenna

I Started my training with Kyoshi Donahue in Aikijujutsu in 2002 at the age of 37. In March of 2006, I received my Black Belt (Shodan) in Aikijujutsu. Since receiving this rank, I have been given the honor to teach by Kyoshi Donahue.

While under the tutelage of Kyoshi Donahue I have been able to travel around the country to train with many great martial artists, including Soke Thomas Burdine in Indiana (Kokonryu Aikido, Aikijujutsu), Soke Mike Pabst in Ohio (Aiki Budo), Shihan Dennis Palumbo in Colorado (Hakkoryu Jujutsu), Sensei Sali Azem in New Hampshire (Shorin-Ryu Karate and Aikijujutsu), Hanshi Richard Bernard in New Hampshire (Goju-Ryu Karate); also Master Teruo Chinen from Washington (Goju-Ryu Karatedo) and Sensei David Poulicakos from Maine (Okinawan Kobudo).

In one of my professional capacities as Security at a local Night Club I have had occasion to use my training both mentally and physically. If I did not have the training I have received I do not feel I would have the confidence to deal with the uncomfortable situations that come up from time to time in the Security field. My training in the martial arts definitely gives me that confidence.

Why would anyone abort training that prepares them for everyday life? When you become the Art, you can't just stop being the Art.
