Sensei Kristy Smith

Sensei Kristy Smith began training at the Brattleboro School of Budo in the summer of 2009. She left Boston and moved to Brattleboro in September 2009 to continue with her training. Prior to this, she worked in television news for seven years. After much discussion and guidance from her close friend and partner, Kyoshi Patrick Donahue, Sensei Smith decided to make her passion in life her career and create unity and wholeness in her life through right living. She left her lucrative career in Boston to pursue a life of teaching martial arts and yoga for the wellness and empowerment of the individual, the health and success of community and the pursuit of world peace. She contributes 20 years martial arts training and 5 years of yoga practice is honored to be teaching at the Brattleboro School of Budo and grateful to Kyoshi Donahue and his students for presenting her with this opportunity.
